I have always wanted to be the proud owner of a perfectly organised bag. That’s easier said than done. I like to sort out my bag in the morning before I leave the house, but by the end of the day it somehow ends up containing a collection of random bits and bobs…receipts, packets of sweetener from the coffee shop, perfume samples, more receipts. For today’s post I decided to leave those out and just show you the necessities I always carry with me. I’m currently using my Gucci Soho Disco bag every day, so I have had to downsize and I love how this makes me more organised and selective about the contents of my bag. I was asked how much you can fit in it and it’s more than you would expect, so I decided to show you what is inside my bag today!
THE ESSENTIALS
My top three bag essentials are my card holder, key pouch and mobile phone. I don’t use a large wallet when I carry this bag and in all honesty I don’t feel the need to. I hesitated for a long time before buying the YSL card holder, because I wasn’t sure how practical it would be. It turned out to be one of the most life-changing purchases I’ve ever made! Of course you don’t need to splurge on a designer card holder, but card holders in general are extremely useful and if you are considering buying this one in particular, I highly recommend it. I keep any loose change in my LV key pouch and I also like to keep my keys in there just so they don’t scratch anything in the bag. If I’m just heading to the grocery store and don’t want to carry my whole bag with me, I use this pouch as a mini wallet to hold some cards and cash and attach my keys to the key ring. It is such a versatile SLG to have!
THE BEAUTY BITS
I try not to carry around too many beauty products on a daily basis. I always like to have a translucent compact powder for touch-ups. I’m currently loving the Diorskin Nude Air powder, which has a beautiful natural finish and comes with a mirror and a mini kabuki brush. I usually carry a lipstick, a lip gloss and a lip balm with me. I recently got this Jo Malone Vitamin E Lip Conditioner and I love it, because it’s very easy to apply and keeps my lips soft and hydrated. The other beauty bits I always have in my bag are a hand cream and some mini perfume.
THE ACCESSORIES
Even when I carry a small handbag I like to have the option to squeeze in my sunglasses with their case. I have a pair of Celine New Audrey sunglasses which are more on the bigger side and easily fit in this bag. On rainy days when I don’t need my sunnies, I swap them for my mini umbrella and that also fits in without an issue! Lastly, I always have my Samsung headphones with me, a pen and a hair tie, just in case.
