Happy New Year all! I wasn’t going to talk about my favourite purchases of 2018, but when I think about everything I’ve bought over the past year, there are a few things that really stand out and deserve to be mentioned. It’s a mix of fashion and beauty, and I’ve narrowed it down to my favourite favourites, so here they are.
GIVENCHY ANTIGONA BAG
This is definitely my absolute favourite purchase of 2018. It’s the newer style with the longer shoulder strap, so is very comfortable to wear on your shoulder. I bought it in the smooth leather and for those of you who have any concerns about this type of leather, I can tell you that I’ve had it for over 6 months, I wear it all the time and it doesn’t have a single mark or scratch on it. Let me know if you want a full review.
STUART WEITZMAN HILINE BOOTS
I wanted these for so long, but they are very expensive, so I was so happy when I saw them on the Outnet 40% off just before Black Friday! I love everything about them; they are beautifully made, very comfortable to wear and fit true to size. I want to get them in another colour this year – probably grey or beige.
CHANEL CC EARRING
These are my latest luxury purchase (Christmas present actually) and I’ve only had them for a few weeks, but had to include them, because they are the only pair of earrings I’ve worn since I got them. There’s not much to say about them – they are just so classy and beautiful. You can’t buy them online, but if you’re in London, I’d recommend the Selfridges concession where I bought mine from. They had all of the classic earrings and the service I received was excellent.
DIOR FEVE DELICIEUSE PERFUME
One of Dior’s exclusive perfumes. It is a very unique scent – quite sweet, but warm and spicy at the same time. It’s the best gourmand fragrance I’ve come across in a long time. Some of the base notes are tonka bean, vanilla, caramel and woods. To me, it’s a little bit heavy to wear every day, but perfect for a night out.
CHANEL SOLEIL TAN BRONZER
I really enjoyed using this over the summer months to add a bit of warmth to my face. It looks very natural on the skin and is easily buildable. You can mix it with your foundation to get the colour you need, which is especially great after a holiday when you’re tanned and your foundation is too light. I would also sometimes mix it with my body moisturiser and apply it to my arms, shoulders and legs, and it makes my skin that extra bit more glowy and healthy looking. It’s pricey, but you get a lot of product and it lasts for ages.
